Rock Climbing Krabi Thailand

 

In the past number of years I've climbed various locations from Symonds Yat Gloucester to Froggots edge in Derbyshire onward to Ogwen North Wales on various pitches of difficulty. So my last holiday at Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand, I decided to do some rock climbing, we sourced a local guy to take us, having not taken any gear it seemed the best action and not knowing the location of best climbing in the area.

So an early start was in order, with a short long boat trip to Reily Beach onward with a little trek to the first pitches. I was so glad the sun was slightly sheltered by clouds, it would of be a rousting hot climb.

After some lunch we moved around the other side of the beach, the climbing here was fantastic right on the beach with the sand stone cliffs towering high few hundred feet above us. Mor our guide for the day setup some routes for us and we started climbing, the sun by now was beating down on us, lot's of sun cream at hand. Please enjoy a selection of photo's from Reily Beach.
